"Get the REAL StorySM" on real estate in New Jersey Public Education Campaign

Often, what you read in the newspaper or hear on the nightly news about the housing market covers the national perspective. However, in contrast to what you may have heard about the national marketplace, there are opportunities for buyers and sellers in New Jersey's real estate market.

The New Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®) launched a public education campaign in early June to urge anyone interested in real estate to read beyond the headlines and "Get the REAL StorySM" on real estate in New Jersey. The campaign encourages consumers to take a closer look at local market conditions, state or regional economic factors and their own personal circumstances when making a decision about whether right now is the time for them to buy or sell a home.

In addition, the campaign focuses on all real estate being local. Each neighborhood has its own distinctive character, qualities that make it different from nearby communities. The campaign highlights the fact that the same factors that make New Jersey a good place to live, work and raise a family are the same factors that differentiate our state from other real estate markets.

Finally, the campaign encourages consumers to consult with an expert in determining their real estate opportunities. REALTORS® know real estate. Now more than ever, buyers and sellers need strong, dependable and professional advice. REALTORS® are trusted, respected liaisons to a wealth of resources and information to help buyers and sellers understand local housing market conditions.

The "Get the REAL StorySM" on real estate in New Jersey public education campaign will be delivered through a variety of media, including print, radio and Internet. In addition, REALTORS® throughout the state will be provided with information, tools and resources to assist the home buying and home selling public in making sound decisions and aiding them in understanding their local markets.
